Body, mind and technology

A paradigm shift to improve people's lives

The concept “paradigm shift” accurately expresses what we want to accomplish. We started calling ourselves the “Paradigma team” (“paradigma” is Spanish for paradigm) which evolved into “Dygma”.

Our mission

Our goal is to create a paradigm shift in the industry. Big brands are focused in making money instead of creating products that benefit their users. We are here to change that.

Our vision

We want to improve people’s lives through innovation, creating solutions for better performance, health, and comfort. Bring mind, body, and technology together.

Our values

We are a community-centered, honest and open company with really high standards. We build high-quality products with our customers constantly in mind.

But those could be just empty words, that's why we hold regular live streams on Youtube and have an active Discord server to be close to you.

Our origins

Forging a dream into reality

When a coach wins two championships and brings the team to their highest peak of performance, no one expects him to retire and risk everything to create something for the community.

This is what Luis "Deilor" Sevilla did.

Back in 2016, after winning his second LEC split, he quit his coaching role and started a project: Create the world's most advanced mechanical gaming keyboard, designed to enhance performance, health, and comfort.

In January 2017, we launched our first prototype: The Shortcut.

The early days

We are here to play

The shortcut was not a mass scale launch, we manufactured about 50 prototypes and shipped them for testing .

Interacting with our testers was an eye-opening experience. We learned a lot, especially about what customers wanted.

That's how we found out that the Shortcut was not a great choice as our first product.

Don't get us wrong, the shortcut was awesome. It was a massive improvement over a classic keyboard. It only had one problem: the learning curve was too steep for new users.

A crucial choice had to be made: stick to a good product that might not succeed or restart the process.

The Raise era

A new way to game

After many deliberations we decided to put the Shortcut aside (for now) and proceeded to develop a different keyboard: The Dygma Raise.

The Dygma Raise is an ergonomic keyboard designed to change the way we game and work. Unlike the Shortcut, we created it to be easy-to-use form the start.

We thought it was a great idea, but we needed validation from the community. That was the first challenge.

In 2017, we launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and it was a great success! Not only were we able to surpass our target but thanks to the feedback from our backers, we were able to improve the Raise even further.

That was only the beginning, though...

The second challenge was the most arduous — manufacturing.

Big-scale manufacturing is a much more complicated task than designing and building a prototype. Dealing with numerous suppliers who had different agendas meant that we were met with countless delays. But all the hard work paid off when we finally manufactured our first batch, which was shipped in December 2019.

After that first batch came many more, each with it's own set of improvements.

The second batch included improved palm pads and new cables. For the third one, we redesigned the travel case and redesigned the rubber feet. But most importantly, we developed a tenting kit that allowed up to 40º tenting for maximum ergonomics.

In late 2022, we launched the fourth batch. It has new top panel colors, redesigned keycaps with brighter legends, new travel cases, lubed stabilizers and even a sound dampening foam to make your keyboard sound like drops of rain.

But we couldn't stop just there...

2023: The Defy era

Straight from the future into your hands

Your next step in the ergonomic journey begins.

Ortholinear or column staggered layouts are preferred by many. With the keys aligned in columns, there’s less travel distance to reach each key, and it’s always consistent.

We could just have taken the Raise and changed the layout, and that would have been an excellent keyboard, but that’s not who we are. We want to create the best product possible in each category we enter.

It took us a couple of years to build the team, knowledge, and experience to create a truly outstanding keyboard. One that had all the features that others were missing – integrated tenting, wireless connectivity and the best RGBW on Earth– even if that meant being a little late to the party.

After a long wait, the Dygma Defy came to life, and we are thrilled and proud of the final design.

We think it’s perfect for those who are used to split keyboards -like the Dygma Raise - and want to take it to the next level with an ortholinear or columnar keyboard.

2024: Dygma Raise 2 launch

Raising the bar

We made the best gaming ergonomic keyboard even better

After the Defy success, we decided to upgrade the Dygma Raise with all the new features: wireless, tenting, better palm pads...

With its standard layout, but split, the Dygma Raise 2 is a great keyboard for those who want to start their ergonomic journey easily, while still having all the main features at their disposal.
